How pricing works

Get a clearer idea of how screen printing prices are worked out and what we need to give you an accurate quote.

What affects the price?

For screen printing, every quote is tailored to the job. The more clearly you can tell us what you need, the more accurate your quotation will be.

The main factors that affect the price are:

Garment choice

Garment prices vary depending on the brand, style, colour, size and quantity. Once you have chosen your garments, send us the details and we can quote accordingly.

Number of print colours

Designs with fewer print colours are usually cheaper to produce than designs with several colours.

Print positions

Each print position adds to the cost. For example, printing on the front only will usually cost less than printing on the front and back, or on sleeves as well.

Order quantity

Larger print runs usually have a lower unit cost than smaller orders. In general, the more you print, the lower the cost per garment.

Garment questions

Minimum orders

Minimum order quantities depend on the artwork and the type of job.

  • For simpler designs using one or two print colours, orders may start from as few as 20 garments per design.
  • For more involved designs, minimum quantities are usually higher.

If you are not sure whether your order is suitable, please get in touch and we can advise.

Printed samples

If you would like a printed sample first, we may be able to arrange this.

Set-up charges will apply, and printed samples are priced either at a fixed unit cost or at an hourly rate, depending on the job.

Extras and finishing

We can also help with extras such as bagging, tagging and labelling.

You will need to supply your own labels or swing tags, but we can supply plain polybags.

Prices for these extras are available on request.

Customer-supplied garments

If you would like us to print onto garments you supply, please contact us first.

In general, customer-supplied garments require a minimum order of around 200 pieces per design, although this can vary depending on the job and the number of designs involved.

Payment

Payment arrangements will be confirmed when we quote for the job and before production begins.

You can pay by debit card, credit card or online banking.
